Science Fair Winners

On Tuesday February 22, the WSFC School district wide Science Fair was held at SciWorks.  Two Jefferson students placed in the top five of their division.  Applying her interest and concern about the recent oil spill, Katy Kneisel placed 2^nd in the Earth and Environmental Division for her project entitled “There’s an Oil Spill in My Backyard”.  In the Applied Science, Technology and Engineering Division, Ben Knight won 1st place with his project entitled “Living Up to your Potential Energy”, working with capturing sustainable energy.  Ben competes in the Regional competition on Wednesday.  Congratulations to our Patriot Scientists!
