Feb 2011--Spelling Bee, Chorus

On Friday, January 28, 43 students participated in the Jefferson Middle’s School Spelling Bee. After six rounds of perplexing spelling, five students qualified as finalists. In an intense head to head challenge consisting of five rounds, two finalists were determined.

We are proud to announce 7th grader Jackson Hayes as the 2010-2011 Thomas Jefferson Middle School Spelling Bee Champion. Congratulations Jackson! Jackson will compete in the district wide Spelling Bee on February 18th. Good luck Jackson!

Congratulations to Mrs. Pickell for being voted Jefferson's "most valuable player" for the month of December and January !!

 

 

Ms. Pickell is to be commended for going the extra mile in working with the Math department at TJMS, arranging for the guest bullying speakers, and overall just being a great Patriot Team player.  Thank you Mrs. Pickell :)

Many Thanks to the faculty who gave donations to Melvin Johnson, a custodian at our school who recently became seriously ill.  We were able to pay his gas bill for two months and collected $155 in gift cards.  There were at least 15 boxes filled with different items.
